1. Information on the Processing of Personal Data (GDPR)

The controller processes personal data of hotel Wi-Fi network users in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.
1.1 Purposes of Processing
Personal data of hotel Wi-Fi network users are processed for the following purposes:
a) ensuring the provision and technical operation of the Wi-Fi network,
b) preventing misuse of the network, resolving security incidents and cyber threats,
c) fulfilling legal obligations arising from legislation (e.g., cooperation with law-enforcement authorities).
1.2 Legal Basis for Processing
Personal data are processed on the basis of:
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest of the controller to ensure proper network operation,
Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – fulfilment of legal obligations in cases required by law. No user consent is required, as this processing is technically necessary.
1.3 Scope of Processed Personal Data
Within the operation of the Wi-Fi network, the following data are processed: MAC address of the device,
IP address assigned within the network, date, time, and duration of connection, access point (AP) or connection location,
basic logs necessary for network security,
user identifier (e.g., name or room number), only if the user provides it voluntarily during login.
No profiling or automated decision-making is performed.
1.4 Retention Period
Personal data are stored for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes defined in section 1.1, but no longer than:
30 days,
unless a longer retention period is required by law (e.g., when investigating incidents). After this period, the data are securely deleted or anonymised.
1.5 Recipients of Personal Data
Personal data may be shared with:
IT service providers and network administrators acting under a data-processing agreement, public authorities when permitted or required by law,
judicial and police authorities for criminal proceedings, where required by legislation. Personal data are not transferred to third countries outside the EU.
1.6 Rights of Data Subjects
Users have the right to:
access their personal data, correct inaccurate data,
request erasure (if conditions for further processing are not met),
restrict processing,
object to processing based on legitimate interest,

2. Terms of Use of the Wi-Fi Network
2.1 Provision of the Wi-Fi Network
The Wi-Fi network is provided free of charge to hotel guests and visitors exclusively for standard internet access during their stay.
2.2 User Obligations
The user agrees to:
use the network in compliance with the laws of the Slovak Republic and the EU, refrain from actions that could compromise the security or functionality of the network, avoid attempting unauthorised access to systems, services, or devices,
avoid distributing illegal, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate content, avoid interfering with the network in a way that could affect other users.
2.3 Limitations and Liability
The controller is not responsible for the content of websites visited by the user.
The controller is not liable for damage resulting from the use of the Wi-Fi network (e.g., viruses, data loss), unless caused intentionally by the controller.
The controller may restrict or block the user’s access in cases of: violation of these terms,
threat of a security incident, excessive or harmful network load.
2.4 Network Monitoring
The Wi-Fi network is monitored only to the extent necessary for its technical operation, protection against misuse, and ensuring stability.
The content of communication (such as emails, passwords, messages) is neither monitored nor stored.
2.5 Acceptance of Terms
By connecting to the hotel’s Wi-Fi network, the user:
confirms that they have read these Terms of Use and the Information on Personal Data Processing,
agrees with their content,
undertakes to comply with the network usage rules.
